The Chinese company Chery has launched a new sub-brand called Jetour. Cars of this brand will be positioned as luxury, but inexpensive.

Jetour's slogan is enclosed in the abbreviation IPEL, which stands for Intelligent, Platform, E-Network, Light.

The presentation of the sub-brand took place today, its first model was a mid-size crossover under the X70 index.

Jetour X70 has a distinctive and rather calm design. In the design of the front part of the body, chrome is generously used - it covers the radiator grille and decorative elements of the air intakes in the bumper.

In addition to the basic version of the crossover, buyers will be able to access the X70S modification, which differs in the original radiator grille and some other stylistic features.

The Jetour X70 / X70S is based on a new platform with independent suspensions: the front - McPherson.

The length, width, height of the Jetour X70 are 4720, 1900 and 1695 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2745 mm. The car will be produced with a six- and seven-seater cabin layout.

The crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 149 hp. and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Front-wheel drive only.

In the future, there should be a whole family of cars under the Jetour brand. It will include three more crossovers, three minivans and one electric car.
