Isuzu is a Japanese automobile company producing cars, trucks and buses.

The history of the enterprise began in 1916. Ishikawajima Industrial Group has launched a batch of cars. Two years later, the first trucks were already assembled at the plant.

In 1933, Ishikawajima merged with Dot Automobile Manufacturing. A new alliance Automobile Industries specifically for the Ministry of Trade and Industry released a truck, named after one of the rivers of Japan - Isuzu.

After the end of WWII, truck production was quickly restored. By the end of the decade, the company was renamed. It received the modern name - Isuzu Motors Limited.

In 1953, the company entered into a technical assistance agreement with the English company Rootes. The result of the joint work is the release of a small car, a copy of the English Hillman car.

Six years later, the Elf truck left the assembly line. The economical diesel engine, reliability and practicality of the machine became the key to its success in the market.

In the early seventies, General Motors acquired a 34.2% stake in Isuzu. The influence of the American auto giant was not slow to affect.

Three years later, the Gemini model saw the light - the fruit of the work of engineers and designers of the two firms. Four years later, a representative office of Isuzu was opened in the United States.

In the 85th, the premiere of Rodeo Bighorn (Trooper), the first Isuzu SUV. In anticipation of the nineties, the public was shown MU (Amigo), a new generation SUV.
